The Virtue Of Remembrance Of Allah
One topic of discussion in the book of Riyadh al-Shalihin by Imam Nawawi is the virtue remembrance of Allah SWT for a human. As is known, almost all the chapters (each topic) in this book always begins with a passage from the Koran. Pun, as well as in the chapter on the virtue of remembrance.
Imam Nawawi begin by stating the surah Al-Ankabut verse 45. '' And, remembrance of God (prayer) is greater (primacy) than worship. '' (Al-Ankabut 45).
Then, proceed again with the addition of several other verses as reinforcements (taukid). '' And, Celebrate the praises (remember) you to myself, surely I will always remember you. '' (QS Albaqarah: 152). '' And, call (name) your Lord in your hearts to humble yourself and fear and without loudness in the morning and evening, and do not include people who are negligent. '' (Al-Araf: 205). '' And, remember God a lot that you prosper. '' (Aljumuah: 10).
'' Indeed, men and women who are Muslims, men and women who are believers, men and women who remain in devotion, men and women are true, men and women who are patient, male and women who are humble, men and women who give alms, both men and women who fast, men and women who maintain the honor, men and women who many call (name of) Allah, Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and reward great. '' (Surat al-Ahzab: 35).
And, there are many other verses about the virtues of remembrance.
After starting the discussion with these verses, the chapter on the virtues of this remembrance, Imam Nawawi begin with the hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah RA.
Rasulullah SAW said, '' Two light sentence pronounced, but the weight in the scales as well as the beloved of God the Merciful is Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi, Subhan Allah al-Azhim. '' (Agreed Alaihi agreed upon by experts of hadith).
A similar hadith narrated by Muslim from Abu Malik Al-Asy'arie whose meaning is that hygiene is half of faith and Alhamdulillah it burdensome scales, while Subhanalllah walhamdulillah heard by those who are in the heavens and the earth.
Also, from Abu Hurairah, the Prophet SAW said, 'Subhan Allah (prayer beads), walhamdulillah (tahmid), illa Allah wa laailaha (tahlil), and Allahu Akbar (Takbir), more I like.' '(Muslim)
Rasulullah SAW said, '' Who's to say Laa Ilaha Illa Allah laa syarika wahdahu lah, lahu al-Mulku, walahu al-hamdu, wa huwa 'ala kulli syai'in Qadir every day 100 times, it is because there will be written 10 justice, noted 100 100 virtue and poverty eliminated. And, anyone who read Subhanallah Wabihamdihi every day as much as 100 times, it is because there will be abolished all his sins even though it was like foam in the ocean. '' (Muttafaq alaih).
Abu Dhar of RA, the Prophet said to me, 'Would I tell you a sentence like God? That sentence is Subhanallah wa bihamdihi. '' (Muslim).
