Where Location Descent Of Prophet Isa?
All Muslims believe that
the Prophet Isa AS will fall back to Earth and save the human race, kill
Dajjal, quell Gog and Magog, and cleaning the Muslim faith of various
irregularities and slander Dajjal, as explained in the hadith narrated by
Muslim, Ahmad, Tirmidhi, and Abu Dawud. However, some scholars disagree about
the location of the revelation of Jesus.
As narrated by Thabrani,
ahead of all of the above events, exactly before the apocalypse happens, Jesus
will descend on an existing tower in the area of Damascus (Damascus). '' Isa
ibn Maryam will come down in the 'White Tower' (Al-Mannaratul Baidha ') at
Damascus (Damascus) to the east.' '(HR Thabrani of Aus bin Aus).
Similar to the above
hadith, from Nawas bin Sam'an, the Prophet SAW said, '' Then, Isa down in the
'White Tower' east Damascus wearing two pieces of clothing are dyed za'faran
and wars, by putting both hands on the wings of two angels. If he bows his
head, would drip. If he picked it up, went down the water, like a pearl. Thus,
there was an infidel who smelled his breath, but he would die and his breath
smelled from a distance as far as his views. ''
The same thing also
expressed by Ibn Kathir in his book Qisas al-Anbiya 'that Jesus will come down
in a white tower located in the area of Damascus, Syria (Syria now). When it
will be established Fajr, then, imam of the Muslims said to him, 'Go, O
Ruhollah. Be priest. '' Jesus replied, '' No. Among you, there are leaders who
have been honored by God in the people. '' (Muslim and Ahmad).
In Manar al-Munif, Ibn
Qayyim explained that the priest leader in this hadith is al-Mahdi who will ask
Jesus to mengimami Muslim prayers. Isa will live in the world not as a prophet
but as a follower of Muhammad. The Muslims would consider him as their leader.
According to al-Syalabi,
al-Mahdi will lead Muslims in prayer and Jesus will lead the Muslims by law. In
the book of Hadith, the chapter "The drop Isa ibn Maryam" explained
Isa down to rule by Shari'a Prophet Muhammad.
Which tower in it? According to Sami bin
Abdullah Al-Maghluts Athlas in his book Tarikh al-Anbiya 'wa al-Rasul (Prophet
and Messenger History Atlas), there are two towers that are very similar as
mentioned in the above hadith. The second tower was the minaret of al-Umawi
built by al-Walid bin Abdul Malik (see Atlas Hadith works Syauqi Abu Khalil)
and the tower wall of Damascus. Both places have similarities that allegedly
was where Isa AS will descend.
However, some believe the opinion, the tower
in question is the minaret of al-Umawi. Hafiz Ibn Kathir in late-Nihayah said,
'' This is the opinion of the place is more famous descent of 'Isa, which is in
the white tower east of Damascus. And, I have seen in most books that Jesus
fell on the white tower east Jami Damascus. Perhaps, history is more valid and
says, '' So he got down on white minaret in the east of Damascus. '' And, in
Damascus, no tower, known as the east tower, but the tower is located in the
east Jami ' Umawi and it is more suitable and more suitable for Isa down at the
time of the establishment of the prayer. "(An-Nihayah fi al-Fitan wa
