QURAN, TAFSEER AND TA'WIL
PERSPECTIVE BY ABU A'LA AL-MAUDUDI
A. INTRODUCTION
Study of the Quran and
methodology in interpret it basically will always experience growth and development very
significant in line with rapid growth
of socio-cultural conditions
and situations and human civilization since revelation of the Quran starts from
first time to the messenger to arrive at the
present time and will continue until end of time. Therefore, science of the
Quran is a science that will
surely experience growing along with the
development of human civilization,
and conversely, he certainly will never have maturity because ideas contained in it are universally and globally. This is in
line with theological views of
Muslims that the Quran is shalihun likulli zaman wa makan (always suitable for every time and place).
And such
has been proven that
wide range of contemporary issues
of wide range of phenomena that
appear will always
be related by the Quran itself. So from there, the Quranic science will always be open to constantly updated
and developed. Perhaps
that is what became one of the factors that make into to the holy Quran is always interesting to
be discussed, not only by the Muslim community but
also by non-Muslim societies.
Similarly also, about
the al-Quran questions itself
and meaning of term tafser andta'wil
, which certainly
both of this meaning always accompany in studies the Quran understand. Until now the experts of commentators
is far from reaching a
point of agreement related
to the meaning of ta'wil and tafsir. But conversely, they still always different opinions in respons it. Depart from here,
then I (
authors) try to do a
study related to the Quran, tafsir and ta'wil
perspective al-Maududi. The purpose will be
obtained a knowledge of meaning of the Quran, tafsir
and ta'wil perspective
al-Maududi.
